Non Healing Wounds and Hyperbaric Oxygen | Print |

A wound that isn’t healing means, it’s time to look into Hyperbaric Medicine (HBOT). HBOT has been proven to help the body speed up the healing process especially in a situation where a wound just won’t heal.

When you combine certain modalities of Physical Therapy (including Lymphatic Drainage) with HBOT in the treatment of a non-healing wound, you really enhance your chances for success.

Oxygen Rescue Care Centers of America (ORCCA) is an addition to Cralle Physical Therapy Services, allowing you to receive the very best under one roof.
Medicare covers the Physical Therapy modalities we provide to assist in your wound healing, including our intensive lymphatic program.

Medicare currently pays for HBO for diabetic wounds of the lower extremities that meet the following three criteria:

1.Patient has type I or type II diabetes and has a lower extremity wound that is due to diabetes;
2. Patient has a wound classified as Wagner grade III or higher; and
3. Patient has failed an adequate course of standard wound therapy.

If you meet this criteria, please contact our office so we may guide you in obtaining the necessary information from your doctor to qualify you for Hyperbarics.

If you do not meet this criteria, have a non-healing wound and would like to receive HBOT, please contact us, to discuss available rates.

More detailed information can be found in the following studies below. More will be added as the world learns the benefits of HBOT.
